I would like to introduce you to my new blog teacherpriorities.org. On this website, I hope to showcase ideas, strategies, and tips the same way Pinterest and other social media outlets do, that are specifically relevant to us here at MJS! I also hope that it will create opportunities and resources for us to learn from each other!
The name came from a speaker at the NAIS 2016 conference, Marcus Birmingham, who said the best way to make people feel supported at work is to check in with them regularly and ask, “What are your priorities this week, and how can I help?” We, as an amazingly supportive community, do this for each other already every day. This is just another way I can support you!
Please let me know if you or someone you know has any ideas, strategies, or tips that you think could be valuable to other teachers. It doesn’t have to be fancy. For instance, it could be a cool way of organizing loose papers, or a great way to destress during some of our crazy months!
